True love

Going home late last night, I saw this scene. He was sleeping, and she was eating McDonald's fries out of a paperbag that she had in her shoulderbag. A guy comes and sits down next to sleeping guy. Unaware of the girl's relationship status, he starts talking to her in a flirty manner. With a smile, full of greasy and stinking fries, she replies and they end up having a conversation for a while. The conversation stops when the drunk guy wakes up and, in a slur, asks the girl for something. She responds by hastily finishing her fries, handing over the empty paperbag and then strokes his cheek to comfort him as he starts puking in the bag. The other guy looks disgusted and confused, until he finally realises that he is sitting next to the puking boyfriend of the girl he's been flirting with. At the next stop he gets up and gets off the metro. Just another glamouros saturday night in Stockholm, where lovers finish their fries before helping the other one.

If ever I'd go for a trenchcoat...

... It'd be this one. Think it was burberry, and just about 1200 euros. Who do I kill?

H. Craig Hanna

This one's a real gem. I really admire this artist's work. I first came by some of it 2 years ago when I was visiting Paris, and this time around he actually had lots of his work filling up two separate galleries. One of the things he does is to paint with ink on transparent plexi-glas which he then mounts on painted/treated wood. You have to see it in real life in order to really experience the effect. Amazing stuff. Go here to see more and better pics.

Sweden vs France

As a citizen of the second most coffee-consuming nation in the world, I find french coffee-culture really disappointing. The best coffee I had since I left for Paris was the one I had at the swedish airport before take-off. Sweden has worldclass coffee, and Paris probably has the best pastry on the planet... If only they could join company, it'd be like fireworks of flavour in my mouth.

Animalistic fashion

Even animals have a sense of fashion in Paris.

Photographic art in Paris

Found this gallery today, and the imagery that was visible from the outside demanded my attention. I do appreciate photography, but not in the same way as painting, mainly because i, as a painter, am more interested in painting and what i can learn from it. But these photos were very nice in an expressive, yet stylish, way.

In the land of chocolate

The love and passion they have, in france, for pastry and chocolate is mindblowing. And, yes, the handbag with the giant lipstick is all made out of chocolate.

No.59 Rivoli, Paris

This place is a building that's occupied by a number of artists, using it to house their studios and to create an art-collective. Some of them are permanent members, and some are just temporary residents so that new blood can come in every now and then to keep the place evolving and exciting. It's open(and free) to the public, and if you are lucky you might see an artist or two working.
