So this one is kinda an exercise in envroment and perspective, which is something I am not completely comfortable with(I think I suck actually). I started out with a sketch of a character, and was planning to do a large paitning with just this character, but I felt that I needed to challenge myself and stop being predictable.

Getting back to digital

Since I am back at work again, I have lots of time to to work with Corel Painter again. These are some of the results from last week.

Droppings - Finished

Made with acrylics on canvas(100x80cm). I set out to paint the boy and then add something to the painting later. I finally decided on this little bird, and the fact that it has pooped on the boy´s head lead to the name of the painting. See... Art is random alot of the time. ;)

A night with corel painter

Painting/drawing is like exercise, u have to keep at it or you lose skill. When i first got into digital painting i kinda abandoned analog painting, and this spring i realised how much i had gotten out of touch with the traditional media. It was a struggle to get back into it. Now it's the other way around, but i am starting to feel comfortable. Every media has it's own life and feel, and hands tend to forget as well as the mind.

Painted in acrylics. I was commissioned to do this one, but I had quite a lot of freedom in how I did the painting which was nice for a change. It was like "Paint my dog, please. Do it any way you want. I trust you."

Painting while hungover

Putting the finishing touches on "go fetch". I accidentally stumbled on to a number of beers yesterday, so it's kinda painful to focus today.
